11/9/2009 - UPDATED: The ACLU in the Supreme Court project presents summaries of US Supreme Court cases the ACLU has been involved in.  We have now posted 500 summaries out of the 735 ACLU cases heard by the Supreme Court between 1925 and 1999.

11/13/2009 - The American Medical Association changed its official medical marijuana policy and now "urges that marijuana's status as a federal Schedule I controlled substance be reviewed." Its prior policy stated that "marijuana be retained in Schedule I."

11/4/2009 - UPDATED:  On Nov. 3, 2009, 59% of voters in Maine approved a medical marijuana ballot measure that requires the state to establish a registry identification program, allows nonprofit dispensaries to operate, and increases the number of approved conditions for legal medical marijuana use.

11/4/2009 - NEW: Rhode Island Outlaws Indoor Prostitution, Closing Legal Loophole – Prostitution in Rhode Island became legal in 1980 due to a legal loophole in state laws. Nevada now remains the only US state with legal prostitution.
