Tracey earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy (MPP) from the UCLA School of Public Affairs, with a Counterterrorism and National Security concentration. Her coursework focused on counterterrorism policy, models of deterrence for nuclear terrorism, and decision under uncertainty. She was a teaching assistant for courses in policy analysis, imperfect rationality, and crime control policy.
Tracey has worked as a policy analyst and consultant, and as a disaster analyst in the field of emergency preparedness. She has been a Senior Contributor for Tennis View Magazine since 2008, covering events on three continents and interviewing athletes, actors, and others. She has also written travel guides and blogs, and has a goal of visiting at least one new country every year. In July 2015, Tracey was elected Vice Chair of the Solar Turbine Project Board of Directors.
Tracey joined ProCon.org on June 25, 2007 as a researcher and was promoted to Senior Researcher in Feb. 2011, Associate Editor in Feb. 2014, and Managing Editor in Feb. 2019. She was named an officer of the ProCon.org Board of Directors in 2017.
In 2018, Tracey spoke about the role of civil discourse and critical thinking in creating informed voters at the Frontiers of Democracy conference at Tufts University, Constitution Day at the Reagan Library, and the California Civic Learning Student Showcase at the Nixon Library. She completed the 2018 FBI Citizens Academy and was selected as class speaker for the graduation. She is a member of the FBI Los Angeles Citizens Academy Alumni Association.
Tracey runs ProCon.org’s social media accounts and is responsible for the organization’s communications strategy.
