Jeanne Ringe, Director of Development

Jeanne Ringe has been a professional broadcast journalist, writer and marketer for more than 20 years. She produced the Larry King Show for Mutual Radio Network, Tomorrow for NBC, CBS Morning News with Diane Sawyer & Bill Kurtis, Nightwatch with Charlie Rose, and Face the Nation with Lesley Stahl. She also co-wrote, produced, and directed From Apollo to the Stars with Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek.

As Jeanne Apostol, she has published feature stories in the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. She was an on-camera reporter for CNN in Seoul, Korea and Kiev, Ukraine, and after three years with CNN she was hired to launch and direct the Global Library Project, a documentary production unit at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Reporting to the Librarian of Congress, Dr. James Billington, she developed two TV documentary series about libraries, learning, and democracy.

Jeanne was Chairman of the Center for the New Leadership in Washington, DC and Board Member of AcroSports in San Francisco. Most recently she has been a consultant in business development, marketing, investment and operations for startup companies in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Johannesburg.

She earned a BA in Romance Languages from the University of Texas at Austin. She is fluent in Spanish and has studied Portuguese, French, and Ukrainian.
