Cynthia Hirschhorn, Board Member



Ms. Hirschhorn is an accomplished architect, artist, civic champion, and philanthropist.

She founded Unycyn Civic Arts, a 501c3 dedicated to "the art of being civic" and aligning missions to amplify resources in the following ways:

  • flowproject.la, an online resource guide and platform for partnerships supporting civic engagement and water resilience

  • "River of Beauty," a civic arts project connecting communities and cultures with water-themed murals, posters & art to engage civic action

  • "H2o+," civic education programing focused on local and global water issues, engaging students of all ages to make choices and take actions for a resilient environment

  • thecurrent, curated events, news and history of civic arts & water resiliency in LA, and beyond!

  • WCAN.la, connecting LA women leaders across public, private, and philanthropic sectors to foster partnerships that cultivate and sustain civic health

  • civicas, LA civic news with a global perspective

  • "A Room Where it Happens" civic education and networking events throughout the year

    She serves on the Board of River LA and Action Civics LA.

    She attended Yale University, and she received her BA in Cultural History and her M.Arch (Master of Architecture) degrees from UCLA.
